WMO vs. The World

My name is Sara and yes, I am the blond female vocalist that's lucky enough to front five other extremely talented people of World Minus One. I'll try and keep these updates as quick as possible, but I do tend to be a bit squirrelly so I may trail off...

The Band: Jaek, Dan and I first met Spring 2008 and almost immediately, our trio fell right into place. After roughly working on seven (or so...) alt. rock tracks and feeling confident to move forward, it was apparent that we would need a drummer and a bassist as soon as possible. Unfortunately, finding two musicians to fill out these roles was tougher than we had expected. We refused to settle for anything that didn't seem to fit just right, which prolonged the search. Five months down the road, Kirk and Adam joined our fight for an original and captivating sound. Shortly thereafter, PJ, our passion-driven keyboardist and back up vocalist joined World Minus One. And then there were six...

The Mission: Now that we have got our crew together, it's time to begin playing out. After almost nine months in the making, World Minus One collectively feels that our patience has been vital in waiting to play a show until we are really solid. As you'll see on our page, we're almost there and have already begun booking shows for 2009. The first show, January 3rd at Liquor Sweets, has got me pretty pumped up, as we will be playing alongside Bellvue Suite, a local band who has made a name for themselves. Let's rock!
